Scouting is a fantastic way to learn new life skills such as how to build fires, tie different types of knots for making rafts or building structure and shown how to cook on an open fire or gas stoves

Scouting is a great way to make friends we are all friendly and there is a wide variety of badges you can earn so even your hobbies can earn you some badges and it’s a great way to explore various activities like axe throwing ,Archery, shooting, crate stacking ,rock climbing and many more.  

Scouting also helps build confidence for example if you are nervous around water some of our camps or activities can help you overcome that fear

We do about 2 to 5 camps each year, in 2025 so far have Water Activities weekend planned and Norjam 2025 along with various outings like pleasure wood hills

These activities can also be available on the camps and there is a wide range of games that are very fun and if you look at our website it will show you images of previous camps and activities if you think this would be something you are interested in 1st Beetley scouts is for you!
